Hiring Safely
PartyJobs.ca introduces you to vendors. The booking is between you and them, so a few checks go a long way.
Before You Book
- Look at their profile and photos, and ask for examples from events like yours.
- Talk to them. A short call tells you a lot about how they work.
- Ask for proof of insurance. Many venues require it.
- If alcohol or food is involved, ask about the licences they hold.
Get It in Writing
- The date, times and location.
- Exactly what is included, and what costs extra.
- The total price, the deposit, and when the rest is due.
- What happens if either of you cancels.
Pay Safely
- Avoid paying the full amount upfront.
- Prefer payments you can trace, and get a receipt.
- Be wary of pressure to pay quickly.
What Our Labels Mean
- Phone Verified means we confirmed the vendor's phone number by text. It does not mean we checked their work, insurance or licences.
- Insurance, registration and certifications on a profile are what the vendor told us. We don't check them.
If Something Goes Wrong
Report a vendor from your conversation with them, and we will look into it. For a dispute about the event itself, deal with the vendor directly; PartyJobs.ca is not part of your agreement.
